Man. I thought i'd never blog again, but last night's match seriously made me so disappointed i gotta make my point clear.

We need Arteta back! We need a new right back! Hibbert, as those watching would've seen ytd, was really too slow, although his crosses were still fine by my standards. BUT HE DIVED. man, i'm so disappointed! I'd rather we lose, dejected, rather than win through such ways HIBBERT!

back to Arteta, the talented Spaniard who should really be part of the national team. I think we seriously need some creativity up front, because the everton attack is becoming quite predictable. Sure, there's not that much ways to begin with, but our approach seems to pretty much be Pienaar>Baines>Cross/back to Pienaar... quite hopeless la.

But praises for Rodwell, loved his earlier match against Sigma Olomouc where he scored two lovely goals. I think he's quite Arteta-like in his play, with an added advantage of height. Only thing is.. he lacks confidence, so his skills doesn't really stay for the whole match. I think give him a few more games under his belt, he will really start demonstrating more of his talents!

now, for some more, lighthearted news.
BARICHELLO WON. so glad for that guy man. Some Brazilian magic (albeit with a screw up by the McClaren pit crew too) won him his first Grand Prix in five years! awesome stuff.
[poor Vettel, his engine spoilt for the second time this week or sth if im not wrong. And he don got much engine left for the rest of the season. all the best man!]

And I saw Steve Slater in person in NUS. haha, much taller than i thought. didn't get a picture though, was kinda with my friend, cos he was asking the professors for more information on the courses at NUS.

It's been almost two weeks since my last post already! haha. Not until the fifteenth, things have been pretty mundane. especially the weekdays.

Weekdays were basically, wake up at 8, get dressed, eat and leave for NUS. Yes. One and a half hours every morning. just taking the BUS-MRT-BUS combo. but well, at least there are positives to take away from the whole YDSP experience so far. I mean i've never seen an actual windtunnel/water tunnel before this, so it's been an eye-opener. Let alone be part of assembling one! (albeit a very scaled down one, but who cares.)

Weekends. I don't remember much, so i'm gonna guess homework did that to me. haha. And no, don't think i spent the WHOLE weekend trying to do my holiday homework. Most of the time i was stoning, walking around, surfing net, walk around, phone call, messaging.. etc. So i've only just done a little each day.

Xperience Pharmacy Camp!! WHOO.

Day 1 - As with all camps, the weirdest part of it is lugging that huge bag into public transport. Especially during rush hour. But nvm that, haha. Well arrived at NUS science foyer 10 min ahead of time and saw some vj ppl there alr. And then we had to register.. blah blah blah the usual stuff.
I was put into OG D! D for Diclofenac! [lol, it is a pharmacy camp after all.] [for the really curious, yes, we asked the year 1s, and they said it's a drug for joint pains.]

we had three OGLs choon siong, sok ying and rachel and they kicked things off with whacko! well it's almost like a 'must-play' ice breaker game, cos well it gets you remembering people's names better. or so i think la. haha. Well my OG had like an assortment of people, from diff JCs. cool stuff la. after the ice was broken,[or at least..abit la, lol] we got into the LT for briefings and stuff.

AND THEN WE GOT TO GO TO OUR ROOMS. yes, ROOMS. lol, for the camp, the seniors have booked hostel rooms for us, so it was gonna be really comfortable at night. And the hostel rooms like hotel one lol.. got card key one. man i forgot to take picture of my card key! argh.
Well after lunch we got our hands-on lab activity.

First lab activity was dispensing. Which basically means we prepare the medicine la. Yingying, zhepeng and i were like quite slack , so three of us kinda shared two sets of stuff so in a way we did stuff faster also haha. We made charcoal pills (for tummyaches) and also some Kaolin thingy. (smells like cough syrup, so i'll take a leap of faith.) Of course, the raspberry syrup was also darn tempting lor. haha. After practicals was like dinner alr. which was really early lor. like 5 plus nia. I wasn't even hungry yet la.

Then came the night games 1! quite interesting lol, 8-star pharmacist. But the description on the booklet didn't really give much of an idea what each activity is about, so planning also abit hard, haha. I liked the 100s rush game lol. mainly because its so random. I mean, have two people throw a water bomb, and two others catching it with their shirt, then have two people holding a cup of water, spinning ten rounds without spilling, and then passing a polo sweet around three people using three straws. Got other cool games also, like river crossing, but 100s is probably the funniest one. haha. There was also daidi.. which we didn't win much haha.

After the night games was sleeping time lor. I think i slept too early.. LoL. my OGL messaged me that we oni need to meet at 8.15 instead of 7.15.. And i onli received it in the morning LOL. So i woke up early the next day. Breakfast came before zhepeng finally woke up. haha. But his sore throat must've kept him asleep longer i guess. haha.

DAY 2

The morning was riddled with talks, so it kinda got sian after the second speaker..out of a total of 7 speakers. haha. So we started doodling on each other's booklets lol. I drew my embossed words.. and it seems i always must screw up one letter in every word i write la, haha. But it still got the pop-up effect, so not too bad la. haha.

Lunch was also spent in the LT. But it was also quite.. interesting, cause the seniors were conducting this part of the talk, and it was riddled with cool facts. lol. especially the ones about nose allergies and pimples. But the weird part was them (purposely) digging up disgusting facts. Mainly cos we were eating lunch haha.

Then came the next lab prac. This one quite fun to do, but we finished much faster.. so got time to burn lor. haha. We made suppositary medicine, the kind you DONT wanna eat. And we also made baby lotion! cool stuff.


Ingredients for the baby lotion. Alot seh. and one that stinks. very badly.

Then with all the extra free time we all decided to camwhore cos it was the last day we were in labcoats!

Hmm. after lab prac came dinner again. This time, dinner not bad sia. Was buffet de. So not bad. Zhepeng started chionging chin chow cos of his sorethroat. Lol. super funny. I couldn't resist, and i got two bowls of it too. haha.

Then came the second night game. which was a mystery that needed to be solved. THIS was interesting indeed. haha. We had to go around campus.. or at least the science faculty. (it ain't small, i'll tell u that) And interview related people to find out why Mr Wah died. LoL. turns out to be something about Viagra and counterfeit gintonic. LOL. Well, it was a cool experience cos we learned more about how important it is for pharmacists to know what medications their patients are taking, so that they dont clash. Apparently, the above combo fives rise to hypotension. low blood pressure. So, he died. lols.

after that. hmm. let's see. we decided to go out for prata! supper, haha. Cool stuff, except it was really not cheap. i mean i had cheese prata, kosong, plus ice milo. and it cost me four plus. den we went over to KentRidge hall to stay up in the lounge. played alot of card games, den in the end, after some people left for bed, we decided to play truth or truth. pretty lame. so in the end, it became a heart to heart session lol. Learned some interesting stuff. like got one story quite interesting haha. but i'll keep it at that. Then out of four people, two too buang alr, so huiling and i played carom. My First time! lol. not bad, beginner's luck really helpful lols.

Then came the morning liaos. Which was when i was playing carom, but nvm haha. We parted, zhepeng and i went back to sheare's hall and packed and washed up. den we realise we were like a good forty five min early. Olivia was there already lol, apparently, she thought it was one hour earlier. we got sian.. den went to sheare's lounge and tried looking for cards to play with. In the end, we onli found scrabble. So my best word tt day was facade! LOL. and with that, 45min was gone quite easily. breakfast was not with more picture taking, and murderer. this time was more fun, cos murderer more hyped about killing. HAHA.

After that, we continued the game in the LT. That time, the murderer really enthu sia. Kill very fast. in fact, murderer won most of the times. LoL. and murderer was followed by some really sadistic game. haha. But in all its sadisticness, is all the fun in whacking ur frens. Lol.bobi-bobi or sth. I'll explain to interested people next time. Anyways, the two most bruised people gotta be me and zhepeng ba. Lol. we kenna whack like free lols. the OGLs were most ruthless sia. Fun times~

After that the camp was pretty much OVER. oh and during feedback session, it was almost unanimous that 3D2N was too short. haha. agreed. Oh well, things ended pretty much how it begun. With alot of photo-taking. And as of now, i'm still waiting for the pix! den can see the camp shirt, that says,

Anyways, I got bored of sitting around stoning, and I realised what a void PW has created. You know, right about this time of the day, I'd be either typing out the PI, struggling to know what the heck the ST meant by GENERATION of IDEAS; Or i'd be totally frustrated over which article best suits my project (lol, for EoM, it seems to be reverse engineering indeed.); The never-ending summary work of the WrittenReport; Or it'd be the undying persistence of trying to revise my OP script over and over again.

Well, it's certainly been a ride, not one which I'm wiling to take again, but looking back, it wasn't for hell too bad. For one, it allowed me to work with some great people, who certainly know how to make a meeting work, albeit with all the weird interuptions by some people.

Well Singyee has been a wonderful leader, and although she hasn't really done all the organizing and stuff. But I applaud all the hard work she has put in. Olivia was an excellent 'secretary' or so i think. Applauds all round for all the v impt meeting minutes! SiJing was awesome too, together with JiaYun in their powerpoint and whatnot expertise. Wonderful stuff with the powerpoint for the OP, and also for the posters and postcards!

Thanks you guys, for making PW that much more bearable, even though it still isn't. haha. oh yeah, just in case any of you read this, we haven't yet taken a group photo yet! For memories sake (:

I await for next week, when my attachment really begins. Can't say i've made a good impression, since I missed the intro sesh, and whatever else. Borrowed a book on flight, and hopefully, it'll be of some use to my research and stuff. That is, if i manage to finish it.
